Inventing le Louvre:

From Palace to Museum over 800 Years

With the generous lending of the Louvre's collections from France to Hong Kong, this global exhibition highlights the diversity and richness of its archives.

In my role as the Exhibition Spatial Graphic Designer for the exhibition, I produced a number of graphics that combined lighting and simulated the actual gallery space of Louvre in France.

In order to recreate the ambiance of the Louvre museum, I embedded decorative text contents into large wall stickers, that also mimicked the Louvre's stone walls.

In the darkened gallery area, I use light box title panels to highlight the contents of the section titles.

This massive wall painting at the back was replicated with a set of sticker panels.

They were arranged in a quarter-circle, listed angled and parallel to one another to give the viwer a 3-dimensional impression.

At the base of the main staircase is a triangular-shaped light box, which showcasing an animation projection displaying famous artworks.

This is the Grand Foyer's main stairway decoration. To differentiate between 2 perspectives from top view and front view, I used 2 separate artwork images.
